Better Business Summit – Melbourne, Perth & Brisbane – A Strong Start!
With three events now wrapped up in Melbourne, Perth & Brisbane, Christian has shared key insights, engaged in meaningful discussions, and connected with industry professionals. Reflecting on these experiences, he’s excited about the conversations sparked and the momentum building.
“The first two cities with The Adviser, discussing brokerage operations and scaling, are done and dusted! I’m now in Adelaide, gearing up to speak with brokers here tomorrow. It’s hot and sunny, so I’m hoping for a great turnout on a bright Friday!
One of the biggest themes from my conversations with brokers in Melbourne and Perth has been staffing—getting it right is tricky, and even when you do, things can change. Many brokers are stretched thin, wearing multiple hats, making it difficult to dedicate the necessary time and focus to recruitment, onboarding, training, and management.
The offshore market presents an appealing option, but it comes with its own set of challenges beyond these core staffing issues. At Auctus we are trying to support brokers through this process, we go beyond just filling seats—we help our clients strategically identify and integrate both onshore and offshore staff in a way that is sustainable, efficient, and scalable.
Through our own experience and by placing numerous staff into our clients’ businesses, we’ve gained valuable insights that now shape the way we support them. By leveraging our expertise, brokers can avoid common pitfalls, simplify the process, and steer clear of costly third-party providers.”
Looking forward to continuing the conversation in Adelaide and beyond!”
Next Stops: Adelaide & Sydney!

Broker Market Share Hits a New Record!
The latest data from the MFAA confirms what we already knew—Australians trust mortgage brokers more than ever. In the December 2024 quarter, brokers facilitated a record 76.0% of all new home loans, surpassing the previous high of 74.6%.
With settlement volumes reaching an all-time high of $115.06 billion, this growth highlights the crucial role brokers play in helping clients with refinancing, securing better rates, and purchasing their first home. As more borrowers seek expert guidance in a shifting market, this milestone reinforces the value of working with a broker.
